One of WDVX’s popular live-performance music broadcasts is getting a new home.

The “Tennessee Shines Radio Show” will celebrate its third anniversary with a new location and on a new day, according to a press release from WDVX. Beginning Wednesday, March 4, “Tennessee Shines” will take place at Boyd’s Jig & Reel, 101 S. Central St., in the Old City.

“WDVX is excited about ‘Tennessee Shines’ at Boyd’s Jig and Reel, our venue partner. We are looking forward to some high-energy fun with live radio broadcasts in a musical pub setting. We are excited about the energy that is brewing in Knoxville’s Old City and would love to share it with our listeners locally and around the world,” said WDVX Program Director Tony Lawson in the release.

Heralding Knoxville’s longtime musical legacy, the first “Tennessee Shines” at Boyd’s will feature musical performers including RB Morris, Greg Horne and Jay Clark, as well as readings from Jack Neely and Bill Alexander.

Hosted by Paige Travis, “Tennessee Shines” is an hour-long live radio show that begins at 7 p.m., and includes headline musical performers, special guests, and readings by local and regional spoken-word artists. Tickets are available at the door starting at 6 p.m. Admission to “Tennessee Shines” is $10.
